An engineering practice that measures before it speaks.
Operate Engineers has been working since 2000, based in Heraklion, Crete. We serve businesses and private clients across hotel, industrial and residential projects, from the measurement through to the issued permit.
What makes us different
Most technical practices start from whatever drawings the client hands over. We start from the building. 3D scanning is not an add-on service we sell — it is how we make sure the file we submit corresponds to reality.
It costs a little more time at the start and saves a great deal later, when an authority asks for clarification or a notary spots a discrepancy.
Where we work
Based in Heraklion, we cover the whole of Crete. For projects off the island we work case by case, particularly where the scope is survey or energy audit work and the site attendance is defined and scheduled.
Accountability
Every study and every certificate carries the signature of a chartered engineer registered with the Technical Chamber of Greece. We do not take on work we are not qualified to do, or do not have the time to do properly.

Equipment
Two tools cover most of the work: one for the space from inside, one for the site from above.
Matterport Pro 3
LiDAR scanner for interiors and exteriors. Produces the navigable digital copy and the point cloud the model is built on.
Pix4D Advanced Cloud
Photogrammetric processing of aerial imagery. Produces orthophotos, terrain models and volume take-offs.
